About Verde Students E-mail

Verde Student Ministry is the Junior High and High School ministry of Verde Baptist Church.

We understand the pressure that exists in the world around our students and we give students the tools and encouragement they need to be a person who can withstand it and become a positive influence in the lives of their friends. We believe that our students can rise to meet so many challenges in culture and create in their place a counter-cultural revolution.

We desire to create a fun and engaging atmosphere that fosters a meaningful relationship with God- one that does not graduate with them when they graduate High School. We continually challenge our students to develop an authentic Relationship with Christ, one that does not wither and fade away. Our students will become Authentic Worshipers through the power of the Holy Spirit.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Boundaries with Teenagers E-mail

Boundaries with Teens Parents face many different issues and struggles in their efforts to parent teens, Dr. John Townsend understands this, having parented teens himself. Through years of clinical counseling, study of adolescent development, biblical principles of growth, and personal experience Dr. Townsend has compiled his observations and tips to help you navigate the teen years and with proper application come out with healthy young adults.

The book is comprised of four parts, Part one focuses on your personal boundaries, Part Two focuses on the mind and world of the adolescent, Part Three shows how to set healthy boundaries with your teens, and Part Four explores some specific problems that adolescents struggle with and offers tips for parents on how to deal with them.

This is a great read for parents of teens, or pre-teens. Currently we have a Sunday School class discussing the book Sunday 11:00am room 103.
